Growing up in a military family and serving in the United States Air Force himself, Dr. Balsmeier or “Dr. B” as his patients call him, has lived all over the country before calling Scottsdale, Arizona his home. His education led him to the mountains of southeastern Idaho, where he studied Zoology at Idaho State University. From there he moved to the Midwest, where he attended Creighton University School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. During his time at Creighton he discovered his passion was Pediatric Dentistry. Immediately following dental school he moved to the Great Lakes region and completed his two year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, one of the top programs in the country.
After practicing throughout the valley for four years, Dr. B is excited to provide exceptional pediatric dental care in Scottsdale and Phoenix. He views his role as an advisor to help families make informed decisions regarding their child’s oral health. Offering a compassionate and fun environment, Dr. B understands what a privilege it is to be able to care for your child. He constantly strives to enhance his skills through his passion for learning and adopting the latest technologies.
Dr. B is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has specialized training in providing comprehensive dental care for children of all ages and those with special health care needs. He also specializes in treating children with extreme dental fear and anxiety, especially children with a previous negative dental experiences.
Professionally, Dr. B is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, Arizona Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. He has certifications in CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support and maintains an Arizona state sedation license.
Dr. B lives in Scottsdale with his two sons, Cade and Cole, who keep him very busy on most days. Outside the office he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, exercising, hiking, snowboarding, skydiving and escaping the summer heat with weekend trips to Flagstaff or San Diego. Dr. Vee finds it exciting to provide care to the children of her practice. Growing up, she spent many days in the classroom with her Mom, who was an elementary school teacher for 32 years. Even then, Dr. Vee knew she wanted to combine her passion for children and serving others. After graduating from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee WI, Dr. Vee had the opportunity to work at a pediatric dental office for four years. There she found her passion for pediatric dentistry. With her bright smile and years of experience as a dentist and a mother, she provides compassion, comfort and care for children and families alike. Dr. Vee has been in the valley since 2012, and is excited about setting-up roots in Arizona. Dr. Vee looks forward to building life-long relationships with your children and your family.
Dr. Vee was born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She attended Marquette University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She then continued on to Marquette University School of Dentistry for her dental degree. Dr. Vee then specialized in pediatric dentistry at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Her areas of focus are education, prevention, and treatment with the latest technologies to provide exceptional care to your children.
